In early 1995 - expulsion - withdrawal of the right to maintain the centre in the Czech Republic by the Ministry of the Interior ;
the available "justification" - "appearance in connection with socialism" and "establishment of the centre in the ’past ages’"
The International Organization of Journalists - IOJ deserves universal respect and acknowledgement for its activities aiming at rights protection, peaceful co-operation among nations, development of active non-alignment and solidarity, by the way, it maintains an associate Solidarity Fund.
The Organization carries out no indications of support for terrorism, dictatorships or rights violations.
Therefore it is imperative to condemn the withdrawal of the right to the office as an ideological act of state power and arrogance and to express full support to the organization.
Thus it was confirmed that:
- the government régime is not striving for establishment of real democracy, but only for ideological warfare and transformation of a dictatorship of proletariat into a dictatorship of haute bourgeoisie ...
Is the Czech Republic really such an "rigorous" in other - more necessary - connections ? - So, how will the government justify e.g. validity of communist laws, including the Penal Code of 1961, in conformity with which dissidents used to be sentenced ?!
How is it possible that - instead of the expulsion of IOJ - the visit of General Pinochet in 1994 was not prevented from and who even met representatives of the governmental coalition, and how is it possible that in the middle of 1996 representatives of the Chinese "People's Liberation" Army were officially invited to visit the Czech Republic for purpose of military co-operation ?!
In other countries, unlike the Czech Republic, which CR efforts to approach at least officially, there exists organizations being incomparably more radical than IOJ and the states tolerate them ...
Summary:
All the democratic public are appealed to express support for IOJ and put an end to ideologically motivated prohibitions like this.
So far it has not been successful to get information about the present-day situation of the International Organization of Journalists as well as about the present centre of this organization. As follows from a discovery, the last secretary-general was a French journalist Gerard Gationot.
Who has any information is asked to notify of it.
